The word "vindaloo" is derived from a Portuguese dish of meat marinated in wine vinegar and spices. Grandpa's vindaloo is pleasantly spicy and has a distinct flavour of garlic, ginger, black cumin and red chilli with the tangy sweetness of balsamic vinegar.
